Embark on a journey to Cape Point via the attractive Atlantic Seaboard coastline. Pass the pristine beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay with their soft white sand and sparkling blue waters. The intimidating 12 Apostles Peaks rise above the road on one side, while steep cliffs and incredible rock formations drop into the Atlantic Ocean on the other side.

Arrive at the charming fishing village of Hout Bay with its striking Sentinel. Visit Seal Island (optional – for own account) or shop for souvenirs at the craft market at the harbour.

The tour continues over Chapman’s Peak which offers incredible photo opportunities, and onto the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. This area is home to magnificent ‘fynbos’, many different species of buck and birds, the Cape Mountain Zebra, and mischievous baboons. A trip to the lighthouse on a funicular (for own account)/or indulge in an energetic walk up the stone path, and experience the mythological meeting of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans at the Cape Point.

A visit to Boulders Beach to see the Jackass penguins before arriving at the Naval Base of Simon’s Town, and then venturing to the last stop of the day at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. With the sun setting over the tall peaks of Table Mountain the last rays sparkle on the trees and flowers, and offer a fitting end to a day filled with all the Cape Peninsula has to offer.

Note: The drive via Chapman’s Peak is subject to the road being open. Ou Kaapse Weg will be used as an alternative route when necessary.
